That's right, I can be crafty!

I love making things. If I had more time- I'd do all sorts of fun projects! One of my friends, Brigitte is expecting her first baby- {a little boy} in September and I begged and pleaded with her to let me help decorate the baby room.
{decorating is my niche}
 It didn't take a lot of convincing. She was in. I had these jars that I wasn't using, and thought she could use them for storage of cotton balls, diaper cream, snot sucker- whatever she needed them for.
But of course I wanted to jazz them up a bit.
Her colors are browns and greens- and little boys are make of snips, snails and puppy dog tails right?
Such a fun little project.
Next, scrapbooking with Ma, and Gabby tomorrow..
and working on Kaitlyn's bridal shower!
I think I'll start making the time to do more fun projects.
Alex always tells me to find a hobby that will calm down the stress in my life..
Now lets see if I can get a craft room out of him :)

My Husband is crazy...

This isn't something I'm just learning. But it is one of the many things I love {most days} about him!
He makes life so fun! This is something I'm so grateful for.
{especially because I have the tendency to sometimes focus on the stress in life}
I love that he leaves me secret love notes in my purse.
I found one the other day that was so heartfelt and sincere- it made my heart melt :)
I love that today when we were getting ready for the day, we were dancing and singing to music playing full blast.
I love that the other day after we got home, he said, "Can we pick up the house before we do anything?"
{that's usually my line}
I love that when my Step Mom said, "Okay, do a goofy one."
this was the product...
Yep. Life is a blast!

Father's day 2011

Father's Day

All my life I've been a Daddy's girl.
My dad is amazing!
He's always been such a great example to me.

I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful dad. He's always been so concerned for my well-being.
When I lived on my own just down the street from him, He would come over to fix things or hang big things on the walls, or help me move furniture.
Those days may be over now that I have a husband to do all those things- But I know my Dad would always help me. No matter what I need him for.
I love you Daddy!

Double Deuces!

Tuesday was my birthday! The big 22!
Alex wanted to make sure that my day was wonderful. and It really was!
He had to work all day, but my sweet husband got up at 5:45 am to make me breakfast, and then brought it to me in bed. Complete with heart shaped eggs and pancakes!
It was an early breakfast because Alex had to leave at 6:30- but I'm so thankful. He is just the sweetest!
After I ate breakfast I laid in bed a little longer, did the dishes, watched some 'Friends' and then made an appointment to get a massage.
After my massage I went to get my nails and toes done..
then, I went to my parents and my sister and I sat out by the pool for a little bit
My sister and I went out and spent some of the birthday money that Alex gave to me that morning.
Then I headed home to get ready for dinner!
We went to the Olive Garden {My fave!} with Karley, and Kasen, Bret and Kaitlyn, and Brett and Brigitte
I was so glad to spend my day with the people closest to me.

The main goal I had for myself this birthday was- TO RELAX! I don't do it nearly enough and it was definitely nice to have a day off. It was a great day.
My only complaint? It wasn't long enough!

I'm a happy girl..

This is most likely why.

I'm so in love.
If it's possible I love him more every day I'm married to him.
{despite the little annoying things I've learned about him ;)}
Love is sure in the air around here. There are so many weddings these next few months!
Three cheers for married life.
and for the two gals that have recently said, "yes!" and are soon joining all the married fun:
Kaitlyn Shepard {soon to be Green}
and
Meagan Modrell {soon to be Zornes}
Congrats you two!

Kung Fu- 3D!

June 11,2011
Alex has been wanting to see a movie in 3D for a while. We were also looking for something to do that was some what cheap on Saturday night.
Our friends Brett and Brigitte were with us. We decided on a movie.
Kung Fu Panda 2 to be exact.
This movie was too cute.
I would most definitely recommend.
We got a kick out of the glasses...
So fun. Love this couple!

Allen's 10 month Anniversary

I was thinking about Allen all day today. These anniversaries never get easier, but this one was a little better compared to his birthday on May 31st.
We originally planned to spend his birthday like we always would. Going out to dinner and spending the time together as a family, but it didn't seem right to do it that way this year.
I knew it was going to be a rough day, so I took it off work and spent the entire day at my parents house. Alex ended up having the day off too, so he came with me which I was very happy about.
My brother and sister and I went to the pool, laid out in the sun, and just hung out together. It made the day easier to bear.
We also had an idea to make a tribute video for my Step-Mom. We watched it with her and cried, and we all talked about Allen. It was the best way we knew how to celebrate his birthday.
I'm still dealing everyday with the death of my big brother. I'd be lying if I said it didn't hurt. A lot.
It makes me want to cherish everyday. Life is short.

It's a Country Thang!

On Friday, I was able to cross off something on my list of "Things I've Never Done." We went to a concert!
{I know what youre thinking, "You've never been to a concert!?"} Sadly, it's true. BUT! I've been to one now. I can't think of a better one to go to either than the King of Country-
Don't know who this Country Heart throb is?
How about now? No? Ok Ok. I'll tell you..
TIM McGraw That's who!
It was a great show. This guy opened for him
Luke Bryan- he's pretty rad too!
The Band Perry was there too!
We went with this cool couple...
We love hanging out with Ally and Paul. I couldn't ask for better brother and sister in laws.
I had such a fun time! We had a blast talking to all the drunk ladies around us.Ha ha, too funny.
I was exhausted on the drive home, but it was well worth it.
